Lumen — Learning Management System
A course marketplace in the shape of Udemy: instructors author courses that go live through an admin review, learners buy through Stripe and earn certificates anyone can verify, and every sale records the instructor's share.

One request, end to end.
Select a stage to read what it decides.
Three audiences, one account
A learner, an instructor and an administrator are one signed-in user with a role, so the same account can take a course on Monday and publish one on Tuesday — and each side of the product sits in its own route group behind its own layout guard.
A course is a draft until someone approves it
Courses start as drafts, and submitting one writes a submission with its automated checks and puts the course in review; an administrator approves it, asks for changes or rejects it, and only a published course reaches the catalogue.
Where money and access meet
The cart becomes a pending order before the reader pays, with each line's price and revenue share frozen at that moment, and Stripe's signed webhook fulfils it idempotently — so a repeated event or a closed tab cannot enrol anyone twice.
Access is decided on the server
A paid order becomes an enrolment, and every lesson is checked against it — or against an active Business subscription — before its content is read, so a locked article or video never reaches the page at all.
Earned, not asserted
Lesson completion is stored per enrolment, and finishing the last lesson issues one certificate with a public page anyone can open signed out to check that it is real.
Three things you can point at afterwards.
Model a marketplace with three kinds of user
Learners, instructors and administrators on one account system, with a review workflow standing between an instructor's draft and the public catalogue.
Turn a purchase into an entitlement
Cart, Stripe checkout and an idempotent webhook on one side, and the enrolment every lesson is checked against on the other — plus an all-access Business subscription.
Record what was earned and what was paid for
Order lines that snapshot price and revenue share, an instructor earnings ledger fed by every sale, and certificates that verify publicly.
Where to go from here.
Closest to this one by what it teaches, then by what it is built on.

A document workspace where Claude answers only from the files in the chat, every claim opens the exact passage it quotes, and questions are metered by plan through Stripe.

The longest build on the channel: an AI app builder with workspaces, agent runs, subscription billing, and the auth boundary holding it all together.

A browser video editor for product videos: record or upload your app, let an AI director plan the camera, cuts and text, refine it on a multi-track timeline, then export an MP4 or share a link.
